I would highly recommend this day trip to the Mekong Delta. Our tour guide Milo was very knowledgeable and informative. The bike ride through the rice fields and the short cooking lesson followed by lunch was fantastic. The trip out to the island to visit the honey and coconut candy shops was fun. The highlight for the kids was the short row boat ride.

The Family Tiny Garden Homestay is just lovely, beautiful and cute. There are fish lakes and bunnies and puppies and a cat and coconut trees and young durian trees and hammocks and we loved it. Mr Hieu treated us as if we were his personal guests and we got free time to rest and explore the homestay then we tried all forms of fishing possible and then when we caught an elephant fish they cooked it for us for dinner then we watched a Vietnamese football match on the TV with Mr Hieu who told us a lot about Vietnam and his own family’s story. The next day we got up early to cycle and experience the sunrise on a rice field. We had coffee and breakfast with locals at the market then got free time then did even more fishing. We had some lunch then headed back to Ho Chi Minh.

I had the best time here at the family tiny garden! I came as a solo traveler but I felt so welcomed and never lonely since the beginning! Hieu was an amazing host, making me feel like one of the family! I had the unique chance to catch my own fish that the wonderful staff cooked and served me later for dinner, I tasted fresh coconuts and fruits that Hieu and his family grow in the property. I learned a lot about Vietnamese culture and had the best trips around the village by bike, chasing the sunrise at the rice fields and drinking delicious Vietnamese coffee at the local market. If you are looking for an experience off the beaten path, in direct contact with nature and the local culture this is the type of experience you want to book! I will surely come back when I’ll visit Vietnam again! Thank you very much for everything!

The place is a little corner of Paradise on Earth, the beauty of the wild is all expressed here but at the same time each bungalow has private bathroom and AC which makes the stay even nicer.
The place has small ponds where the family helps you catch the fish you can eat at night, there are bikes that you can use to go take a ride in the rice fields, the little boats to navigate the small provate canals… everything looks like a dream 😍
The best part are the people: they are not only welcoming but you become easily one of them, they are open and smily and fun and very very kind. They teach you to cook if you want and there is always something to do… we wish to have spent more time there, because it’s really amazing. Very very highly recommended
